About Our Group
August 18th, 2009 — Ken Emberton
The Davenport Four Corners Kiwanis is one of America’s most exciting and fastest growing Kiwanis organizations. The Club was chartered on April 1, 2004. Our growth mirrors that of the Four Corners area, which was all orange groves as little as 20 years ago.
Our diverse membership has provided a strong catalyst with in our community. We have a balanced group of dedicated members. Our membership represents a blend of community and business based participants.
We aim to help children in the area through fundraising events and campaigns. Our projects are the following:
- YCPO program for all children age 5 and under.
- Annual Xmas party for under privileged children.
- Assistance to our local schools with supplies during the school year.
- Our Key Club Program with Ridge Community High School
- Loughman Oaks Elementary K Kids sponsored program
- Spiritual Aim activity to the elderly
- Cubscouts Pack 554
- Give Kids The World village, Kissimmee
- East Coast Migrants, Head Start Project
- “Stuff The Bus” Every child deserves a chance
We are a fun and friendly group – and most importantly, we get things done.
